Philip and Roger are both eight years old.They are helping their
mothers to sell cakes.
Philip's mother tell Philip:"Take 5 cakes and sell them
for $1 each.Remember you can't eat any of themand don't give any
of them to your friends." Roger's mother also tells him the
same thing.
In the whole morning Phillip was only able able to sell sold one
cake.By late morning Philip is really hungry.Suddenly he has an
idea. He uses the$1 to buy a cake from Roger.
Roger has also sold only one cake-the one that Philip
bought.He is also very hungry. After a while he decide to use
the
$1 to buy a cake from Philip.
By the time they they reached their homes that evening,they
had sold,bought,and eaten all cakes -just between the two of
them.
