Kiss in the Dark

There are four passengers in one train car: an old woman, a young
girl, a foreign officer, and a policeman. When the train enters a dark tunnel they hear the sound of a kiss and a loud slap. When the
train comes out of the tunnel everyone is silent.
The old woman thinks: "Good for that young girl. So few young people behave decently these days."
The young girl thinks: "How strange. Why did that foreign
officer kiss that old woman instead of me?"
The foreign officer thinks: "That local policeman is a tricky guy. He was the one who kissed the girl yet I was the one she slapped!"
The policeman thinks: "I'm so clever. I kiss my hand and
slap that foreign officer. And nobody is the wiser!"
